From ore to gold and silver, in one plant.

Our processing plant stands in Barangay Santa Rosa Sur, Jose Panganiban, a short haul from the veins. The plant license is held by our partner Paracale Gold Corp. Every step after mining happens here.

The process

Five steps on site

  1. 01

    Mining

Ore is mined from the veins with machinery.

    VEIN → ORE
  2. 02

    Crushing

A jaw crusher breaks large pieces of ore into small fragments.

    JAW CRUSHER
  3. 03

    Grinding

A wet pan mill and a ball mill grind the crushed ore into a fine slurry so the gold can be released.

  4. 04

    Leaching

Four leaching tanks dissolve the gold and silver out of the ground ore, using a dilute sodium cyanide solution kept alkaline with lime.

    LEACHING TANKS
  5. 05

    Recovery

Activated carbon in the tanks adsorbs the dissolved gold and silver (carbon-in-pulp). The metal is stripped from the carbon and melted into doré bullion.

Why it matters

Why an on-site plant matters

01

Value stays on site

Ore becomes gold and silver where it is mined.

02

Control

Every step is managed by the same team.

03

Less transport

No long haul of raw ore to distant mills.

04

Licensed

The plant license is held by Paracale Gold Corp.

Tailings plant

A second plant for tailings

Beside the main plant, a smaller, locally built plant of about 10 tonnes per day is complete. It reprocesses tailings, the ground material left behind by earlier small-scale mining, to recover gold that older methods missed.

Tailings are already above ground and already crushed, so this work recovers value with little new digging.

These tailings built up over decades of small-scale mining by the Inocalla family and other local miners.

Tailings recycling

Recycling tailings into gold and building materials

Over the years, waste tailings built up and began to overflow the tailings pond. Tailings can be hazardous to people, plants and animals, so the team spent years looking for a way to make them reusable.

Engineer Roque R. Mallipot and Dodie Vargas built a system that reprocesses the waste tailings with a hydrocyclone, a device that separates material by size and weight. The “Cyclone” system is now complete and running.

It lets the association clean the pond, recover the gold that is left in the tailings, and turn the remaining waste into bricks and concrete.
