Gold that builds a community.

Profit from mining goes back to the place it comes from. It supports schools, training, wellness and farming in our Minahang Bayan and the villages around it.

Greengold

Greengold: reviving the Inocalla coconut plantation

Since April 2026, artisanal miners have struck several good veins in Shaft 4, and more miners want to work on Inocalla land. As mining grew, farmers stopped planting and many trees were cut for timber.

The Inocalla family responded by reviving the Capacuan Minahang Bayan, so that mining takes place within a legal framework. They also invited the PROUT/PROSAC farmers’ cooperative, headed by Dr. Rafael Barroso of the P. R. Sarkar Institute at UP Los Baños.

Together they formed the Responsible Farmers and Fishermen Cooperative (Remffoco), with the mandate to rehabilitate the Inocalla coconut plantation. Its Greengold program covers organic coconut farming and the Sis Betty Learning Center.

Discipline

Discipline against “gold fever”

A gold strike can bring sudden money, and with it the negative behaviour that miners call “gold fever”. The Capacuan Minahang Bayan answers this with discipline of body and mind.

Through Arnis Maharlika, the Warriors MMA Academy and Mindbodyheart Wellness, the association promotes fitness, martial arts, Arnis, yoga and meditation for its miners, so that they keep their physical, mental and spiritual discipline.

Wellness retreats

Retreats at Gumaus Beach

Half an hour from the Inocalla farm lies Gumaus Beach in Paracale, a white-sand beach on about 3.5 hectares owned by Dr. Marilou Inocalla and her daughter Radha Inocalla.

The family welcomes the association’s associates, partners, families and friends to visit and retreat there, close to the wellness, Arnis and yoga programs on the farm.

07

Land for the community

Donated land for a school, chapel, health centre, basketball court and barangay hall.

Projects carried out by the Inocalla family and Paracale Gold Corp., as listed in the September 2026 report.

Livelihood

Livelihood for local families

Gold mining is the main source of income for many families in Paracale and Jose Panganiban. Our aim is to make that income safer and more stable.

This includes work in mining and in the plant, skills training, cooperative farming, and buying from local suppliers where we can.

The long-term plan combines mining with farming on the same land. Paracale Gold Corp. plans an integrated coconut farm and processing facility producing virgin coconut oil, copra and coir, alongside responsible underground mining. This links with the Greengold farming work of the Remffoco cooperative.

Sustainability

Our commitments

We aim to minimise our environmental footprint, manage waste with long-term ecological balance in mind, and support the well-being of the local community through training, employment and infrastructure.

Support our community

Support our community

The Capacuan Small Scale Miners Association does not take investment. Donations go directly to the association and its community programs: schools, Arnis and sport, wellness, and sustainable farming.
